Mitch had no Constitutional right to do what he did, no matter what “inside information” he had on Garland.
We are a country of laws and processes that are designed to be followed, not disregarded along party affiliations.
Mitch was wrong, but he got away with circumventing his job, and preserved a seat of Trump’s choice. Disgraceful.
On the flip side what he did was NOT unconstitutional, yes, maybe, of course, political, but not unconstitutional. Then again, since it IS a political nomination, McConnell was only following the 'Biden Rule' in the SCOTUS nomination process. And seriously, do you think the Democrat party doesn't act in their political interest? As for Trump's choice, you said it, its political. However, Democrats seem make everything political, including Covid, the FBI, the IRS, etc so please don't act shocked as to what McConnel did.
And as others have said, McConnell did America a favor. If you watched any of Garland's Congressional testimony, he shouldn't even be in charge of the FBI. Garland typifies the "Peter Principle." Thank you, Mitch,

Conservatives dodged a bullet, but the country took one right between the eyes.

He’s a serious loser in all respects.

What Mitch did was wrong and shameful; even if you think the means justifies the end.
That is no way to run a government.
I bet you agreed with everything Harry Reid did though.

And yet you have a tranny leader whose father was Fidel Castro. How enlightened of you Canadians.

I do remember the name Harry Ried I just can't
remember anything significant that he did.

Yada, yada, yada. Tell that to the dems who are trying to use the budget reconciliation to pass immigration-‘reform’. Or the dems touting the elimination of the Constitutional Process of the Filibuster, or all the dems trying to force the ‘new greenies deal’, or . . . The list goes on . . . And on . . . And on . . . And . . . .

He was the Senate Majority leader from 2007-2015 and was famously known for stifling any bills put forward by Republicans. Given the same opportunity that McConnell had, Reid would have done the same thing without a doubt.

But we do remember and really owe Harry Reid a lot....Reid made it possible for Trump to get ALL his nominations across the finish line with a simple majority....thank you Harry
