Interesting the vaunted new Sony a7IV that people claim is great for video is actually terrible with rolling shutter.
Most all other modern cameras beat it out.
Also interesting side note in the article is the R5 destroys the nearly twice the price a1 in rolling shutter as well.
Yet Sony fanboys always are trashing Canon for rolling shutter.
Thus the R5 defeats the vaunted a1 in DR and rolling shutter.

The A7iv is for landscapes, not video. The A7siii is a video camera and a much more appropriate comparison for video. Funny that you and the reviewer weren't aware of that.

Funny the R5 and a1 are NOT cine cameras either but primarily for stills.
Then why the very low MP count compared to other cameras?
Landscape cameras are the high MP cameras not the low MP as this one is.
If you hate Sony cameras this much, be happy with your Canon camera. The Sony a7iv and others are fine cameras. I've yet to find the "perfect" camera so pick the one that does what you want and be happy with it.

No hate.
Just pointing out that they do not walk on water as you and other fanboys imply especially when compared to Canon.
They actually fall behind in many metrics including rolling shutter and DR.
Please don't use the term "fanboy" when you don't know me or my photographic history. It's insulting. Merely saying that Sony makes some pretty good cameras doesn't make one a fanboy. I am a Sony shooter mainly because the a7iii was the best, full-frame mirrorless camera available when I moved to that system. So, the bottom line is I don't think trolling UHH is worth your time and perhaps you should look for another forum.
Thanks for your time.
Its X.mass time. be happy.
