What do you think about this lens as an all around lens?

If I had an EOS R body with an RF mount, this is the lens I'd own. You might want to double-check your current equipment and make sure this lens is applicable to your camera(s).

I plan on getting this lens. Also getting a second Canon mirrorless body.

You might have very unusual relationships with your subjects. Get used to being "in their face."

I usually walk around with the Rf 24-240 because it covers such a wide range, however since getting the 14-35, primarily for real estate images, I have started to use it 50:50 with the 24-240. If I have the chance to visit a place twice (and do not want to keep changing lenses) I'll start with 24-240 then go back again and use the 14-35.

I have also found the 24-240 to be a very good, versatile walk-around lens.

It depends on your needs. I would find it a little wide for general use.

Thank you.
What lens would be good for both wide and close up?

A 24-105 is as wide as you'll get for a general purpose zoom. You can go longer with the 24-240 mentioned in an earlier comment. Getting wider has this option of 14-35, as well as the 15-35 option that is faster at f/2.8.

Ideas for what you can do with a 16-35 were posted as: https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-690844-1.html

14mm is very wide on a full frame camera. It is very useful for a few specific subjects after you learn how to use it, but very limited otherwise. For some folks, 35mm is a favorite focal length. There are some really nice things you could do with this lens, and there are occasions where you could successfully shoot all day long. But it is still a special purpose lens, not an all around one for most people.
