For the past two years, during COVID, I have mainly been out in nature photographing birds. However, in the next few weeks i will be attending and photographing several concerts, both inside and out, hoping to use my new Z7II and Z 70-200. My outdoor backpack doesn’t seem quite appropriate, and most shoulder bags seem too small for the big lens. I want want to bring a few fast primes as well. What bags have proved satisfactory for hauling this type of gear?
Maybe a sling type messenger bag.

If you want to carry multiple lenses, then I like a sling type bag such as the LowePro 200/300/400 AW, but if you want a bag to just carry a camera with a 70-200 f2.8, let me suggest the Lowepro Protactic TLX 75AWII. I have several of these Lowepro top loaders in various sizes. It has just enough room for the camera and lens plus a few accessories. They’re small and easy to carry over your shoulder. I have a small one (a 50) for my Fuji, a larger one for my Canon 5D4, and a long one for either camera with a 70-200 or 100-400. I leave the bulk of my lenses in the larger compartmentalized bag and just carry the camera plus one attached lens I plan to use for the day in this easy to carry small case.

I have a Think Tank sling bag for sale.
I can put my Sony A 7111 with a Sony 100-400 lens in this bag.
Let me know if interested.
