Speaking of great (but not well known) movies, has anyone else seen "The Death of Stalin"?
I think it's a British production with a superb cast and it is a black, black comedy with a surreal vision of what it would have been like to live under Stalin, and shortly after his death, from the perspective of those Politburo members who wanted to take over. The infighting is hysterical. Really funny in many places. It's available from Netflix for sure.
Yes, I saw it some time ago. One of the funniest movies I've ever seen. A lot of in-jokes regarding Russian and US politics.
My teen son kept talking it up and had seen it repeatedly, so I watched it. Definitely worth watching, at least twice.
When I heard about a comedy about the death of Stalin, I had to check it out. Sure enough, it is very funny.
Steve Buscemi as Nikita Khrushchev? Who'd have thunk it.
Thanks for the prompt, it's on my list!

It’s still the same mentality today they have so much benefit while the rest of their people are starving and dying due to lack of médecine care

Did Buscemi put on about 100 ponds for that part? That is weird casting to me and those who remember the physique of Khrushchev, unless it was done for laughs

I've seen it and I loved it...!!
Absolutely hysterical comedy if Stalin could be material for a comedy.
