So I have been doing yard work for the past few weeks in keeping pace with the fall seasonal changes and maintenance of our gardens. I was hitting the leaves hard and organizing the debris from the broadleaf trees and an image popped into my head.
I don’t know how many of you have had the fun moment to watch the movie “UP”. I believe it is a Disney/Pixar animation. The main character is this old guy. In the quest for adventure, he meets up with this dog. Getting the feeling there are similarities to a photographer you might know about. Anyway, this dog gets distracted by squirrels…
Well, while I was doing my best at focusing on my list of chores: bathing the dog, repairing some furniture at our clinic, and leaf raking, I had a “squirrel” moment. Yes, I noticed that the camellia was already passing its prime for blossoms, and they were falling to the ground. Of course this meant a “Brief” pause to take a few pics. Well then, the “squirrel moment”, hit again as I noticed how lovely the texture from the London Plain tree leaves were, as they were stacked and shuffled about. By the time I got some photos, I noticed that my exposures were 6 seconds long. Each was to be compiled into 15-20 frames per photo images. I guess the 6 seconds per images was because the daylight was leaving.
On a more positive note, I am most certain that the leaves I didn’t get to this afternoon will be there in the morning, so I hope you enjoy the images. The camellia petals are very pretty even on the ground at this time of the year. Enjoy.
Nice compositions

Thank you. Yard work doesn't have to be painful or boring.
