. . . . who advised me to harvest all the green dermaters when I took out the vines before the first frost. I posted a shot of that harvest in early Nov, abut 75 dermaters.
As advised, I placed them, individually, on a carpeted surface, and as they began to ripen, Wife would transfer them to a dish and place it in a window with exposure to direct sunlight. Wow, more dematers than we could consume, so we treated three close-by neighbors with a number of these delicious delectables.
I lost count, but I have enjoyed more scrump-licious BLTs than I can count on two hands, with a few toes included. The final treat occurred today. Life, and my dermater harvest, is GOOD! Thanks’ Hoggers.

BLTs with toes included? Mmmmmmm! (You did wash those gourmet BLT&Ts down with a nice Chiante, did you not?)

Phonetic dialect.
More like local dialect, in a given region.
Something DW & I like to do when we have green 'maters is to get some apples and make "Apple - Green Tomato Chutney". It's kinda like a sweet relish, but the pieces are visible. (Not chopped down to tiny "thingies". 🙄) Good on meat, eggs, and if company's coming, dump some over a block of cream cheese and serve with crackers. (Ritz are the best 😋)

While I haven't tried this recipe...I wash everything I eat down with bourbon. I even wash orange juice down with bourbon. I'll take that back. I don't eat my lunch at work with bourbon, unless I cooked it in. Anyway, if you like bourbon, get the you know who warehouse named brand (hint: It not only rhymes with Kirkland, it is spelled very similarly).
