used and really like Mixbooks, easy to use and great quality, but as suggested above look for coupons

I've used Mixbook many times. They have provided prompt service and great results. You can usually get a 40% off coupon by clicking the "Deals" button on their website.

I once tried a different page finish, and didn't like the change. I noted this in feedback questionnaire, and without any prompting from me, Mixbook sent me a free photo album using my normal page finish choice.

Can be pricey, but they offer many options - text font, page finish, design, book size and book orientation, etc.

As a Portrait Photographer of many years, I never made a "Photo Book" for a client. However, I will be doing a X-Mas event for a client next month and he indicated he may want a photo book for his business.

My Question is: Have any of you produced one of these for a client? And if so, what company or printer do you recommend! And...do you know the URL for them.

I thank you all in advance for your reply's.

Many Thanks,
Boone.

Don't know about cost, but my go-to company for photo books is Blurb. Their product is top quality.

Take a look at Printique, from Adorama in NYC. Great products, great quality, great service, great prices.

Depends on your budget. For my weddings I always use a superb company with unbelievable quality and finish called Album Epoca in Italy.

For local book makers, I use WHCC in Minnesota and Bay Color Lab in CA. They are far better quality for photo books than anything mentioned here, so far. If you want a really high quality product, these companies are worth the extra cost.

I've routinely made coffee-table sized photo books using LrC and Blurb. They turn out beautiful. You can also create a book from the Blurb website, as you can from many other photo websites.

I just made one through MPIX. My second one. I chose their Signature Album, which has hard "cardboard" type pages. It was expensive, but a nice, nice album. Leather cover, 10x10 (they have several sizes), and you can put up to 100 photos in it. I chose 80, but with their special is was north of $300. It is a beautiful book though. Their basic book holds 20, but I dont recall the price.

The feature many overlook is the ability to store the book on Blurb to sell. If you are producing a book, calendar, etc. you can set a price with Blub to include the printing cost and your profit. Someone wants to buy your item you just send them the link. Keeps you out of the humdrum print and send to a customer loop.
