Lazy J Loc: Pacific Northwest

Anyone own or use this 38 inch curved monitor or the just released update to this model the VP3881a? Thinking about making the leap to one of these and was hoping to hear from some that have actual hands on experience.

I know many are adverse to curved screens, and I would tend to agree on smaller screens, but my research suggests that with a larger screen such as this the curvature actually aids in peripheral distortion.

I thought curved screens were a problem, but I don't think so anymore. Working with a large screen at relatively close distances, I find the curved screen helps. If using a flatscreen now, I notice the difference.

...Viewsonic is a solid manufacturer (I own one of their 27" ips models) and this screen looks great on paper. It's 100% RGB so that's a plus, too. I'm into printing and have loaded-up with Ben Q's on my PC's...mostly because of their color gamut treatments, so I'm stuck for awhile. Heh...
