Hi, I am new on this forum and asking for help or explanation.
I bought few months ago Nikon D 7000 lens Nikor 18-105mm:3.5-5.6 G ED.
I do not understand why autofocus on monitor have difficulty to find focus point but if I check via viewfinder - in this same photo condition - everything is OK.
Autofocus is set : AF-A.
Thank you for any help.
Your manual will clearly explain the focus point availability in Live View as compared to viewfinder views.

I also have a 7000. Did you know that you can download the user manual to your computer? I find it much easier to use than the one that came with the camera.
The problem I have is that when I change lenses, the camera changes the focus points as well. It's a bit tricky to change the focus but once you get it. It works well. Hope this helps.
Hi Janusch, Have you looked at the menu options? There you can specify no.1 lens, no.2 lens etc. and I think the camera will then adapt itself.

Hi Janusz, in the menu folder look under the pencil for centre weighted area and play around there. Hope this helps.
He was not asking for a reference. He was looking was help.
Can we assume he wanted us to provide guidance above the sarcastic referral to the manual?

Hi everybody- thank you for all help it gave me some idea what is going wrong. I did know that changing lens I'm changing focus point .
So I install lens and think everything is ok - funny man I am - don't you think!
Well about sarcastic response to me - well I ignore this together with the person .This is not proof of knowledge - but opposite.
English is my second language and for this reason I do not have very extensive vocabulary .
In future I will pay more attention in sending question to this Forum .
Once again thank you very much for suggestion.
Kind regards.

Johan - thanks ,fine suggestion -problem solved - working fine now.
Hi Janusz, glad it was of assistance. I think the other person was also trying to help as sometimes the electronic version of the manuals are better explained or laid out than the published one. Happy snappies! (Photography)
