As "Deep Throat" said in the movie, All the President's Men "Follow the Money".

Neither the local, state nor the federal government has any means of production. Every penny that they spend to operate and every penny that they spend for any programs comes from the taxpayers. Rest assured, politicians have already made personal investments as well as their families, friends, associates, and lobbyists in stocks that will generate a windfall of wealth for them by the bills that they pass, regulations that they control, and areas where their position provides influence.

Should you ever hear, "I'm from the Government and I'm here to help", run away as fast as you can..!

Considering how much oil and maintenance they take, plus the worn-out blades that apparently cannot be recycled, I am not too sure.

Birds are often killed by wind turbines.

It doesn’t always have to be an either/or decision.

Disclaimer
A) I don’t know anything about this particular project.
B) I’m sure this solution wouldn’t apply in every situation.
C) Any use of eminent domain, which I saw mentioned in some other comments, should be a nonstarter.

The basic problem with solar is that it is intermittent power -- like about 35% availability. Wind is intermittent also to a lesser degree. I have lived in 10 of our states, and with rare exception, when the sun went down the wind went away also. This does not bode well for reliable electricity for the people. How will the citizens charge their electric cars at night while they sleep without any wind and solar available. Not likely this administration will allow any new fossil power plants. Anyone see a coming future problem here ???

Store or convert.
Energy can be stored in many ways like batteries, tidal dam or use the power to convert water to hydrogen for engines.
It might be not efficient but if the source of energy is free like the sun, it should still be a viable plan.

True, and that’s the least of our worries about the things.

Around here, they build them so closely that growing any crops around them is an impossibility.
