This is an odd one. I watched a video last night of a guy making a Halloween mask, and almost all of the writing in the video was backwards. His shirt, the paint cans - almost everything was backwards. I think at one point, the writing was right-way-around. I've seen occasional reversals when someone is shooting into a mirror, but how could the whole thing be reversed.
I found the site.

Filmed with his phone in selfie mode?
(Selfies are backwards.)

Many years ago I had a customer that could write backwards, upside down, or backwards and upside down. The signature looked perfect no matter how he wrote it. Yes, he did demonstrate his variations. I asked him what the bank had said about his checks being signed those different ways and he replied that they never said a word.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlG0I1YPALASelfie mode on an iPhone gives you the preview as a mirror image. If it didn't, the view would be extremely disturbing to the person taking the selfie. But once saved, the file is oriented correctly. (I just tested this in both photo and video modes.)
I used to work with a guy who often left me messages written backwards. It used to annoy me no end, but I solved it by installing a mirror on my desk.
I later learned that many autistic people have the ability to write backwards.
During my tour in the USCG, I found myself in CIC writing backwards on a status board. I don't recall any great difficulty doing so.
Anyone remember Professor Backwards? He was on TV in the 50s and could write backwards, upside down and both at the same time. He could also spell and speak backwards.
Had an invertebrate biology professor who could draw cells with all the internal parts using various colors of chalk (way before whiteboards!) with his right hand, label the parts in beautiful draftsman text with his left, and talk over his shoulder to the class simultaneously.
Was so amazing it took us a couple of days to get used to it and not miss something important.
It didn’t rub off, though, and my students often complained about my writing being almost illegible. Oh well.
I'm left-handed, and writing backwards is fairly easy for me. I was told by one of my fellow fountain pen collectors, that lefties can "push" writing instruments to the left, just like righties can push them to the write.
I also write "under the line", whereas a lot of lefties write "over the top". As such I can use right-hand specific nibs such as italic.

Several years ago I met a Chess Grand Master who signed his name backwards. If it was held up to a mirror is was perfectly legible but rather confusing when viewed without the mirror. He used it as his legal signature.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlG0I1YPALAI don't know for sure if this is the reason or not, or even if this is still the case, but this is what I was told, so here is a possible explanation. Years ago, video sharing sites such as you-tube (and others which seem to have now disappeared), had a lot of problems with videos being copied and re-posted by people, and no credit was given to the original creator, and channels become monetized after gaining a certain number of views. So the original creators started to copyright their videos and then had some comeback on anyone who "copied" their content. So, as always happens, a loophole was found. Apparently if the video was "reversed", it was no longer considered an accurate copy of the original. Although no-one could really tell the difference if literally just watching the "video", and never having seen the original, whenever "writing" was shown, it was obviously backwards! And as mentioned, it could be closed captions, a sign outside of a store or maybe just a slogan on a t-shirt. You can still come across videos like this every now and then, just as you did. So anyway, I'm just passing along the explanation that I was given a few years ago, and it's possible that this is completely wrong, but it made sense to me so there it is. Either way, someone here may well know more about this than me, so please don't shoot the messenger!

Yeas, I've heard of people like that. Different brains work differently. I know people who are natural painters or musicians. I've very good at playing with the computer and watching TV.
Thanks. That makes sense.
