Conventional lie detector results are not admissible in court, for very good reasons. I suspect that these will not be allowed either, also for very good reasons in spite of one judge's decision.

Right! I wouldn't want to take a lie detector test.
I know several attorneys and police officers who will tell you the eyes are the key to the truth.
Saw this posted by a Mom on FB:
“Thank you to whoever told my 5 year old son that his eyes change color whenever he lies. Now whenever he lies, he squints so hard it’s a no-brainer for me.”
Your eyes are the windows to your soul...who said that?

In work years ago my company sent me to a course on NLP (Neuro Linguistics Programming). Oftentimes people look down when they’re lying. Or, when you ask them a question about something in the past, if they look up and to the left, they’re recalling the truth. If they look up to the right, they’re usually making it up. Supposedly, it’s accurate 95% of the time with right handed people, and 90% of the time with left handed people.
I remember watching Charlie Rose on TV a few years ago. His guest was Robert Wagner. At one point Charlie asked him directly if he killed Natalie Wood. He looked down and said no. He couldn’t look Charlie in the eye. To this day I still believe he did it.

Yes. Lying is difficult. As Mark Twain supposedly said, "Lying isn't easy. There's too much to remember."
Unfortunately, some people have become experts at lying, and they don't have any "tells."

I always like both of them, so I choose to believe he did not do it.

I don’t know if you’re aware of the recent ruckus involving the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers and the COVID vaccine, Rodgers was asked if he’d been vaccinated. His response was: “I’ve been immunized” and his eyes immediately jumped up and to the right. Many saw this as an indication of a deliberately evasive answer.

We don't need to watch his eyes to know he was lying.

Probably not. I thought it was a good example that fit with the post.

I have mild nystagmus. I have enough problems with people not understanding (in a negative way) about the eye movement. An eye based lie detector would be a disaster for me.
