My good friend, Navajo Photographer LeRoy DeJolie, brought me to this location for a sunrise photo opportunity. With out special permission from the Navajo tribe, non Navajos are not permitted in Monument Valley before 8 AM.
LeRoy is Navajo and a credited guide.
The photo is very warm because the sun is just above the horizon and there is a slight overcast, therefore with the defused sunlight being reflected from the red rocks gives the effect that you see.
I have the color temperature set to daylight and I do not change it to another setting without s very specific reason. If I was using film this is what the transparency would look like (unless I used CC filters).
Wow! You are so fortunate to have that opportunity! I love the results!
Beautiful! Don’t touch it!
Nicely done. That picture is a keeper!
Great shot. I love places like this. After viewing them I close my eye and I swear I can imagine what they must have looked like 10,000 or a million years ago. Great shot, again!

Beautiful photograph Fred!
Thank you the comment!
Attached to this e-mail is a photo of me getting a Rocky Mountain high.
To bad that I can't type, "Aryst" should be "Artist".
