Been to the Dells many times, took that boat trip as well. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories Bob as I haven't been there for some time. I'm 90 now, don't travel like I used to when I was a stripling of 55. Harry

Very nice set! We did the same tour in late August. We too passed on the very wet ‘duck boat’ option! Perfect weather. A good guide—-ours was an out-of-work-due-to-covid opera singer. He even sang for us!
Another great site about an hour south is Frank Lloyd Wright’s home and school, Taliesin. Toured that before visiting relatives in Cedar Rapids.

The H.H. Bennett Studio & Museum in downtown Wisconsin Dells is a very interesting place to visit.

It "documents the history of the Wisconsin Dells and the life of H.H. Bennett, whose stunning landscape photographs helped showcase the beauty of the Wisconsin Dells and the Driftless Area, attracting some of the first tourists."

It's closed for the season now, but this website can provide more info.

Fine shots, great memories. The Polynesian Hotel and Waterpark was a paradise to my children when they were young! They didn't appreciate the geology and other attractions as much as the adults. And then, there was House on the Rock!

Thank you Harry for sharing your thoughts about the Dells and I'm all too happy to have stirred up some fond memories for you. You may be 90 and traveling less, but many of us haven't been able to travel like we use to for the past 1 1/2 years. I'm sure you have a wonderful collection of photos that you can look at from time to time and recall some of those memorable more youthful years. By the way.......feel free to check over my list of topics that I've posted in the past. You might enjoy taking a different adventure that I may have posted over the last few years when we did get to travel a bit more and further! I figure when I get older......I will be reliving many of my ( and others) previous posts from my comfortable chair! Thanks again, Bob
