Here's a self-portrait on a rainy day. And what I was looking out at.

It’s bigger than it appears,…….”

I did a short photoshoot with Chloe the other day - here's my favorite image from it.
Sue, I am constantly impressed with the photos you get of your family whether posed or not. I've never been able to do it. Great work!

Very nice series, Steve, it is definitely a big one . Headed over to google right now🙂👍👍👍
Thanks Larry for hosting another Free Sunday. I always look forward to them.
I brought my Hibiscus in for the winter several weeks ago, as it was looking pretty sad. The leaves were falling off in mass. I immediately fed it, and to my surprise this morning it bloomed. I didn't particularly like the angle I had taken the photo, so I had a go at changing it up a bit.
Went down to the local store for lunch and almost didn't take the camera with me, but changed my mind. Glad I did.
This guy was almost ignoring me. His thoughts were somewhere else.

Thursday Nov 11 was veterans day. A day to remember all the Veteran who served our country and lest we not forget the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, Armistice Day.
The Elks Organization held a veterans dinner and we had 2 WWII veterans attending. Looking on Google I found some interesting statistics:
Last WWI veteran, Florence Green from the U.K. 2012, age 110.
Last WWI combat veteran, Claude Choules served in the British Royal Navy died 2011, age 110
There are approximately 325,000+ surviving WWII veterans world wide today.
Thanks to all the veterans world wide who fought & served for what they believed in.
Here's the American Pledge of Allegiance by Red Skelton (1969). I sincerely hope this does not offend anybody.
Good night & God bless.

One more Free Sunday already, and for a second one in a row I’ll be traveling. Still, I need to see your newest leftovers, or anything you got lucky capturing that you really want to share. Here is the place to do it. No restrictions on subject except to keep it family friendly.
I’m sorry I was absent from the last Free Sunday, but had a very important birthday to celebrate in Austin. Granddaughter turned 17. This Sunday we are traveling to celebrate another b’day but I’ll try not to be so conspicuously absent again since we won’t be celebrating until Tuesday.

Here are a few from last Sunday I took at a local Forest Preserve in Lake County Illinois
