Had roast chicken earlier in the week. Costco's frozen whole chickens at around 4.5 lbs., two to the package, are each good for three or four meals at least per chicken. Roast, Chicken salad, the odd sandwich and soup. Cooked the carcass and scraps on Thursday, chilled overnight to be able to remove most of the fat, de boned added the carrots, celery, onion and spices. The Country Pasta from Costco is nearly as good as fresh made. This is the kind of soup I grew up on. Cheddar garlic biscuits along with, Bisquick version and Zatarain mix are both good.
Quixdraw, you're welcome to cook at my house any time you want. Delicious looking meal well photographed.

Thanks very much! You can't see it, but I made the same mistake with the biscuits as I always do - I make them too big and don't increase the cooking time. Fortunately all the edges are fine, the middle a little doughy.
Now that's what I call a meal in a bowl. Thick enough to almost be called a stew. Wonderful supper after a cold day of cutting fire wood. I don't do that anymore of course but still make those kinds of soup/stews

Thanks! I don't cut & split firewood anymore either, just the way it goes!
