How can I download IPhone photos in the Cloud?
Go to your iCloud.com account and select the photos you want to download. You will need enough storage space on your iPhone in order to receive the photos you want to download from your iCloud account.

This reminds me of a question I have.
Can you download photos from the cloud to your computer? If so, is the procedure the same?

Yes. You need to put iCloud on your PC so you can access them. If using a Mac then it’s already there. You just have to set up your iCloud account on the Mac to match your phone.

If you save photos to the iCloud, then they can be downloaded to your computer. Yes, the procedure is the same.

Agree ... ("that reminds me") what workflow do members use to import iCloud photos on the Mac to Lightroom desktop. My current process is:
1. locate and select iCloud pics
2. go to File > Export and export photos to a folder on the desktop
3. import those photos as an 'Add' using Lightroom
1. Anyone have a simpler workflow?
2. Anyone use Mac Automation to automate step 2 above
3. Is there any means to have Lightroom 'look' at the default iCloud Photos Library location in Mac under Pictures?
4. Anyone use Photo Takeout?

I export to a folder first similar to you because I don’t like the way Apple Photos stores the photos. Then I go from there depending on what I want to do with the pic. I don’t use Lightroom or any other cataloging software. Although I am exploring various software. Currently trying DXO PhotoLab 5 trial.
On a Mac, download photos from iCloud results in an actual compressed file download which you then have to expand to get the pictures, not as simple as I'd like.
