Hi Jules
I am with Tom - in awe of your skill with these shots. I do envy the amount of sunshine you get out there. Seems I shoot half the time with dark clouds (or worse -rain š±).
It looks like you uses a āreverse vignetteā on one of the shots - have not scene that before - nice effect.

Jules, finally got around to commenting on these. My fav's are 1, 5 and 6. I really like that type of solo picture #1 of the kick (poster material) and the challenges (pictures 5 and 6) which show the physicality of the sport. Of course picture 10 is priceless!
You held up well 'old-man' thru the 1.5 games, tack-sharp, filled the frame (I'm sure very little cropping except for straightening out the horizon ~ btw mine are always slightly off even with the darn horizon markers in my view finder).
I have 2 area district football playoff games this coming Thursday/Friday and that will most likely be it for me with football 2021. I may have to fill that void with basketball (never shot) before soccer starts down here with tournaments 2nd week of December.

My horizons are off a bit too. Easy to straighten in post. Good luck Thurs. and Fri.

Congrats Jules well deserved from your hard work and keen eyes and nimble camera placement. I would like to reach that level one day too, just need more work and experience.
Again congrats,
Rick

Thanks so much Rick. Your work is very very good. More practice, know your equipment what it will do and won't do. How far you can push your lenses in very important. The last soccer games the Nikon 200-500 vr 5.6 is a good lens for about 350mm-450mm after that going for 500mm on a crop camera you got to get the focus pin point, sometimes I get and sometimes I don't. Believe me every shot I take is not a winner, lots of losers in there before Maxpreps get them.
