I know these are U S Air Force planes but they are being shown in "Navy" formation. At least Kansas won the game!

davidrb, Had not realized the Air Force and Navy flew in different formations for special events. With KSU and KU playing in the game, a Kansas team had to win the game. KSU took the honors.

Used to watch them fly through the valley by Whiteface Mtn in the Adirondacks while skiing there. They'd fly low and on edge while swooping through the valley, very impressive and deadly looking aircraft!

I did look a little later and saw the photo.
A few years ago I was at the Kittery Trading Post in Kittery, Maine when they had a display of raptors and were even flying a few. For a $10 contribution they would take your picture with a raptor of your choice, so I gave them my Canon and they took four or five shots with me holding the Barn Owl on a raptor glove. I selected the Barn Owl because it was large enough and the right color to stand out from the background.

Bud, Thanks for the details of your owl experience in Kittery. You made the right choice for your pic of the raptor. You probably know Barn Owls are nocturnal sniper killers of mice and rats.

Navy formation is known as "Same day, Same way, Brief on guard."
