Time Lapse with On1

I'm getting ads for the new On1 RAW 2022. I haven't done DSLR time lapse in years. I have a little Brinno TLC camera that takes the pictures and produces the video automatically. I wonder if this new ON1 feature is worth $80. Probably not. There are other improvements to ON1, but I think I'll be able to resist - maybe.

Do any of you have the 2022 version of ON1?

Jerry: If you do a lot of processing take a look at the 2022 version. Lots of new stuff, I especially like the new, greatly improved the new no noise feature. Take the free 14 day trial you'll like it.

Jerry if you have ON1 2021 raw you can upgrade to the 2022 version for $63.99
I haven't tried the time lapse feature but the other new improvements are worth it in my opinion.

I have a license for ON1 Photo Raw 2022. I have not looked at the time lapse feature yet. While there's definitely an improvement in demosaicing over the 2021 version, the raw conversions are still mediocre compared to its top of the line competition from Adobe, Capture One, PhotoLab, and others. Performance has also improved significantly, but it still is not a very speedy program.

The new sky replacement tool is interesting, but like many of these programs, it's use must be carefully planned so the replacement sky works well with the intended image. The majority of the available stock skies are overly dramatic for most images they might be applied to.

While Nonoise is a major improvement over their previous noise reduction, In my experience it's not quite as effective as Topaz Denoise AI. And neither NoNoise or Denoise are in the same league as PhotoLab's DeepPRIME noise reduction.

I also have some issues with some of the other functionality, but my purpose here is not to bash the program. My main issue with ON1 is the overriding effort to implement new features rather than to improve the mediocre quality of some of its current features..

I will rarely use ON1 2022 since it's output, bloated features and performance does not meet my personal standards, but it is still a worthwhile product for many people, and a distinct improvement over last year's version.

Same here, and I totally agree! It's very easy to learn and use, fast, has the best file management available and produces top results - now in everything (since they improved noise reduction). I've tried most all the others, and ON1 comes out on top!

Well, ON1's site says upgrading will cost me $79.99. I'll try your suggestion.

I just tried that, and all I got was a list of the benefits of updating. The upgrades cost is $79.99 vs $99.99 for a new purchaser.

Check out the new version of No Noise AI. Extremely fast. I have and use Topaz Denoise as well but this new version on ON1 Raw is ten times faster and the results are great. I will continue to use Topaz as each individual image can benefit from different softwares. Just another tool in the tool box.. Have Fun.
