Hi, please don't forget the South Island where the most spectacular scenery is. I'd be very happy to help you with an itinerary if you let me know when you are about to come south. As the island is very small and narrow the weather changes frequently and can be totally different in the west and east so it pays to know how the patterns change. If you come to CHCH, I'd be happy to be a tour guide (free) as I love showing off my city. Only the east side is damaged and we still have lots of wonderful places to visit.
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you enjoy your visit here.

Thank you Horseart. I like yours too. Wish I were attractive enough to put my photo up.
My welcome goes to anyone who comes to NZ and especially the South Island and CHCH as we desperately need visitors to get up city back on its feet after our quake.
I've attached 2 photos (I hope) one of the Botanic Gardens last month and the other is a high country lake, a day trip from CHCH.

Beautiful photos. I'm sure Canuck is going to get a real blessing from a visit there!
Hello Carolyn, yes we are planing to visit the south island also, but unfortunely our itinerary is starting from Nelson, and driving south along the west coast. Ending in Queenston. Very much appreciate the offer of showing us your city.
Fantastic photo of the ocean or is a lake, well composed!!
Sorry misread, you did mention it was a lake. Great photo and what a wonderfull view!
