Wow, Jim! Your night venue shots are always excellent.
Nice shooting there, James. I have always enjoyed hearing Ricky Skaggs sing, and you have brought him to me in concert. Thanks.

A really nice series, fantastic shooting. That would have been a real treat to see Ricky in such a venue.

Hi Tom...well I've had a few flops too. Took me awhile to get the confidence to opening the lens up on this camera down to the f4 range. I was afraid I'd get to much bokeh, but turns out that wasn't the case. The subject stayed in sharp focus. Hope all is well in KC.
I'll take those "thumbs ups"

Nice shootingJames56, it’s great to see Ricky is still out performing. I’ve been a fan since I first encountered him with JD Crow and the New South.
Thanks, Ricky told everyone he (as well as many other musicians) are just now getting back to touring. He was in St. Louis the night before performing his show here in Murfreesboro TN. He said they were a bit rusty but everyone was happy to be out playing to live crowds again.
Great shots. I take pictures of bands frequently but cannot get them that sharp when they are moving. What kind of lighting, shutter speed etc.
Very well done, !st time I've seen a fiddle player with gloves.

what a fun evening that must have been, james...ricky skaggs is a favorite of mine...love listening to his
music and band!
Excellent shots, James. Good to see you on here again.
Oh, the memories these bring back! Many years ago, when both of us were young men, I saw Ricky perform at an outdoor concert at a fair in California and what a treat that was. He plays something like seven instruments, all by ear, and played all, or at least most, of those that night. One of the best concerts I have ever attended.
Thanks so much for posting these. One of my all time favorite posts on UHH!!
Great series, James, very happy to see you back on the Hog.
