Well imagine that...I did find some more images
from our cruise down the Romantic Danube.

Hope you enjoy.
Tim

PS In my previous post I mistakenly
said Salzburg, Germany, when, of
course, Salzburg is in Austria.

I was lucky enough to capture this image of St. Peter's Abbey, also known as the Salzburg Cathedral, in Salzburg, Austria with the sun behind the bell tower. This church was founded in 696 A.D.

Like so many places in old towns of Europe, most churches and places of significance are undergoing repairs, making it impossible to shoot around scaffolding, etc. It's still a gorgeous church, though.

Terrific....I sure miss traveling. Tim

This, unfortunately, was probably our last
significant trip, although there are still
places in the good ole U.S. of A. I'd love to see.

Another great set Jim, but I hope you don't mind
if I make one suggestion. You know, just one
minor critique...

....you need to get a bigger beer glass!

pp.11What wonderful architecture. I always marvel at how these edifices and their ornamentation were built.

I totally agree, Pat. And when you realize, first, that
they were built WAY before mechanization, and second,
that they've withstood CENTURIES of wear and tear,
they truly are amazing.

p.12 I miss traveling too but it is such an unsafe hassle and by the time it becomes comfortable again, the body likely won't tolerate the walking and squishing into tiny seats, or long drives. We'll see.

Pat, just a quick "aside" on your comment about "unsafe hassle." We booked our Viking River Cruise through AAA, who got us all the pre-travel info we would need for the areas we were going to visit.

Viking had required we get a COVID-19 test showing negative results 72-hours prior to travel and they also needed to see proof of vaccination, which is all the airline required.

Once we were on the ship, we only wore our masks in shared spaces (think hallways). If we were dining, or drinking (ummm, several times on some days...lol), no masks were required. Every night when you returned to your room, they left vials for us to collect our saliva and left them on the sink for them to test, which they did everyday!

We never, not once, felt uncomfortable with our surroundings KNOWING that everyone on the ship had the same requirements.

So, long story short....take a Viking Cruise.
