Last night clear, did not see it. Could be the mountain we are on rising to the north side blocked it as there is limited north sky visible.
There were a few pictures posted on flickr, the best ones from Europe (Iceland). There were some from Canada, but in general they thought it did not live up to the expectations.

That's what I gathered, as nothing posted here or mentioned on web after the fact. Canada and Iceland are pretty normal, but down as far as southern WV would be rare which is what some were predicting. Glad we didn't try to drive 1000 miles to nearest clear location.

Our local Portland meteorologist said the geomagnetic storm was not as intense as predicted, so it was a weak Aurora. It's unusual for an Aurora to be seen this far south, but they had high hopes for this one.
Yes, for me it was a no show. The aurora or Lady A as she is called,, did not make an appearance through the clouds. We are very lucky here in Alaska as she frequently visits.
