I did a headshot shoot with Jade Glasgaw this afternoon. Lovely young lady, a pleasure to work with.
Fabulous collaborative with Jade Glasgaw... so enchanting... so beautifully done...
Love her radiant smile... You both bonded well together for this series...
Did Jade do her own makeup? Those band lashes and winged eyeliner add a charismatic touch to these renderings.
Appears you used two softboxes on camera axis slightly above? Please correct me if I'm off base here, k?
Your Canon EOS 5D Mark III with the stellar EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM was certainly up to the task!
Nice that you did both pure white background and dark gray with colored gels...
I'm absolutely certain that Jade loved these...
Only suggestion is the direction of Jade's gaze on the last two images...
A large amount of the sclera (whites of the eyes) dominates here since her iris is push all the way to the left corner of her eyes.
How to deal with this in "real-time"? Simply ask the talent to gaze in the direction their nose is pointed then slowly turn their head to point their nose more towards the lens...
That said please give the client a healthy mix of perspectives to choose from (as you did here)...
Let them make their choice as to what they believe works best for them.
Thanks so much for sharing Wayne...
I always look forward to your wonderful creative efforts, and Jade certainly is a very charming talent!
Well Done! Cheers!
Thanks for the advice. Yes, I had two 24” square softboxes in front and was shooting through the space between the light stands. We took almost 70 pictures this afternoon and Jade says she wants all of them.
Yes, she did her own makeup.
"...Jade says she wants all of them..." Epic! A Very Happy client for sure...
Kind of figured Jade did this makeup look...
She did a fantastic job!
Thanks for your setup... The catch lights reflected same... Cheers!
The eyes win in every shot.
Nice work on all of these. Personally, I prefer the ones with the darker backgrounds.
Excellent work. I like the first pose the best.
Great portrait work Wayne. Thomas spotted a couple of things that I would have missed. Beautiful model and images but IMHO nose hardware detracts from her beauty.
Don
I like the 1st shot the best. The smiles seem to be forced. I tell my models that the smiles have to be real, or you can tell it in the eyes. Think happy thoughts.
I know that people like piercings, but I had flashbacks to my days at Armours meat packing plant!
The most important thing is that the subject loves the results.
Cheers!
