I have a new soft box and wanted to play with it today. I've never used one before, I usually prefer natural light but wanted to try something new. I didn't have any person to practice on so I used a couple of my teddy bears. Let me know what you think. I like how they turned out. D3300 35mm 1.8, ISO 100, SS 100-200 (it varied as I was trying different settings, and mostly on 1.8. The soft box is pictured above and the flash is a cheap off brand. I think I had it set on 1/64th. Comments welcome!
Based on results, an excellent purchase.

Thank you quixdraw! I was quite pleased. My nephews mother is expecting her third child and has agreed to let me shoot newborn pictures. This was purchased in anticipation of that event and I want to get in some practice with it before then. She isn't due until February so hopefully I will have it down by then.

I know that feeling, I practiced for three months with a new camera before my Son's Wedding, and there were hired Professionals too. Worked well, and some of mine were better than theirs! You will 'git 'er done!
A new technique to learn and it looks like you are well on the way
I love your photos and think you did an excellent job on exposure and composition as well as the subject matter. My ONLY very tiny nit, and of course you and others may disagree, is I think number three, with the apple, is somewhat too closely cropped.
