I live at the base of Mesa Verde, and I'm 70 miles from Telluride, 90 miles from Blanding, Utah, and 41 miles from Shiprock, New Mexico. Which is my way of saying that I have a lot of access to beautiful country, and as a retiree, I have the chance to get out and chase storms. All shots were made from Wetherill Mesa, which is an out-of-the way destination, and the park service usually closes that road with the first significant snowfall so it is very unusual to make a photograph there in the snow.
Excellent photos of a magnificent area.
I really envy you living in such a great
part of the country. I suppose it has its
downside but let's not think about that.

Nice series. Impressive sky.
Beautiful buck! I like the rest of them too! Was just through Cortez about three weeks ago. Talk about centrally located to beautiful country!
It's that time again--I hate cold
Really good set, post some more from out that way!
Beautiful photographs. I love the mule deer and the black and white. Well done for all.
