I’ve searched the Internet and the Ugly Hedgehog archives for a Dioptric E and rubber frame Eb for my 80 D viewfinder and can’t find a source from which to purchase these items.

They are not available from Canon or from local camera stores in Eastern Idaho.

I recently had cataract surgery and changed from being nearsighted to far sighted.

The image in the viewfinder is blurry and I would like to avoid wearing reading glasses when looking through the viewfinder.

Does anyone know where I may purchase these items?

Look at the viewfinder, upper right next to it is a knob, that is the diopter adjustment for your Canon 80D. It goes -3 to +1.

Just in case I ever need to use my cameras without my glasses my eye doctor gave me 6 pairs of soft contact lenses that she got as samples from a salesman and a contact Rx I filed at Costco in case I want more. The Kirkland Brand one day disposables are $59 a box of 90. Now my eyes are each different so if I bought 2 boxes for $120 I would have 90 days worth at $1.34 per day. The 2 week lenses come to a bit less and they can be cleaned and stored when not in use.

The diopter adjustment on my 80 D is not strong enough to compensate for my far sightedness. I need a +2 diopter. I could use reading glasses, but I don’t want the hassle of putting them on and off.

I would really like the device Canon used to sell to attach to the viewfinder. They still sell that device for full frame professional cameras but they don’t fit the 80 D.

If the surgery made you that far sighted then talk to you eye doctor about getting soft contact lenses and just keep them on all the time.
Besides with contacts you can have your pick of sunglasses and wear protective goggles, full face respirators etc. and be able to see like your vision is normal.
I used to wear soft contacts all the time but had to stop because the school district cut down on cleaning and there was too much chalk dust etc. in my classroom. Taking them out and cleaning them multiple times a day was too much trouble - though my students thought it was free entertainment.

If there ever was a product for the 89D or if an ever existing product worked on the 80D, I suggest KEH. They have, as do many other large Used Stores a large amount of miscellaneous products, like these that they would love to sell. The reason is htey will buy an complete outfit, including the rre gadgets to make the whole deal, nd leave a happy customer. Call them and TALK to someone. Express the personal need, and I found they go way beyond to help a fellow photographer. Same is true with Adorama and B&H, but you need to crack through the NY shell, first.

I found Canon Rubber Frame EB in stock at both B&H Photo and Adorama, where it costs about $10.

None of the stores in the US appear to have stock of Canon Dioptric Adjustment Lens E.

However, I found them in -4, -3, -0.5, 0 (?), +1.5, +2 strengths (maybe more) on eBay:

All of the those eBay items appear to be coming from Japan. Prices vary wildly and seem quite high, plus the cost of shipping from Japan can be very high even though this is a small item. (For comparison, other Canon Diopters that don't fit your camera but are avail. at stores in the US sell for about $10.) If you're patient, you could set up a search to alert you when the Dioptric lens you need shows up on eBay from a USA seller. But that may take a while... or never happen at all.

You might try contacting the higher volume used camera stores: Adorama, B&H, KEH, Roberts Camera, etc. They probably have a drawer full of these things they've removed from cameras that were traded in! They're just such a low cost item that the stores don't bother advertising and trying to sell them.
