Don't know about the 340 but I have a 108 and it's worth about $10.00 and my SX 70 is worth just a little more. Old common cameras are not worth much.

Here is what they are currently selling for on Ebay. You will now have a very good idea what it is worth.

Rotsa ruck finding a battery.

Since the battery chamber is very well hidden there’s usually a badly corroded situation in there.

The 340 was one of Polaroid's better cameras. It had a decent enough lens and a parallax corrected viewfinder/rangefinder. Years ago, I noticed that model was widely used in nightclubs, and similar entertainment venues and resorts for quick souvenir photos of guests. The images were surprisingly sharp.

It is not a rare camera and probably does not have much collectors value. If you would like to USE it, you should buy up a bunch of films because the last manufacturer was Fuji and they have discontinued all production of that material as far as I know. I have seen it for sale on eBay and there are some specialty camera shops that may still have some in stock.

The updated replacement battery is available here but it's gonna set you back close to $40. It's a newfangled Lithium-ion model.

Unless you are planning to buy film (which you can still find for this camera) and use it, its value will be that of a display piece. The Polaroid 340 isn't rare enough to have significant collectors' value.

The SX-70 now is worth good money though. Probably about the same as you paid for it new if not more.
