Had to send in 5 pictures to the Hamilton Camera Club for a competition. I am in the "intermediate" class the pictures are judged out of 30 points. I have to get 23 points or above to get an Honorable mention (HM) and for it to count towards moving up to the next level and you need 10 HM's to move up. The subject for this challenge was "Silhouette". But we can also put other photos into the different categories. Here are my entries. (#3 - the longhorn please - click on download to see the proper colors).
I won't get the results for several weeks. Fingers crossed that at least one gets an HM.

The photo of the colt is also entered in the "Standardbred Canada" calendar competition. I was honored to have been chosen twice before. Fingers crossed that this one is chosen for the 2022 calendar.

I just went out to my yard. I stacked some leaves. I got a few shots off before they blew away.

I like your leaves arrangement.

I've got my fingers crossed for at least one HM. The longhorn download really shows the darling face on the calf. I still love the high key geese/birds.

Thanks Pat! I too like the swans. I use PS Elements, by the way.... and find it so much easier! You have to use layers but it is so much easier. Thanks for the heads up on the sight! Will look it up!

I've also been trying to practice photoshop - separating objects from backgrounds, editing each layer, using filters and re-combining. I know this is easy for many of you, but it still isn't "automatic" for me.

Pat ,I think I'd loose the drooping piece that blocks the grave stones....Might enhance the backround??? Just a happy thought...

Yeah, I haven't seen them since 1975 or earlier! We're all old fogies now, if still alive. I've already lost too many from my past.

I got to film a bunch of teenagers making a horror film over the past three weeks. My 23-year-old (tomorrow) son helped, too. Those kids aren't that different mentally from me at their ages... Couldn't help thinking I'd like to be 18 again and know what I know now! That would be awesome.

Interesting thoughts,burk...Boy, I'm not interested in returning to 18!! I was a student in a large hospital trying to
get through a very demanding profession! I did it- but I'm very glad I'm not there now!!! Love my work but getting there was a super challenge!!
