I've read about it happening to others...
When I first saw the photo, I figured what you were looking for based on your title. At first, I thought there was a tall figure in the upper part between the trees, didn't see the leg till much later. I'd concentrate on seeing if anything can be brought out above the leg.
Closest I've ever come to anything similar was a flying saucer. A pool liner over the neighbors clothes line took off. Last we saw it was way up there, just a small circular flying object. Since we were near BWI airport, even if reported, it would have been dismissed, but we knew exactly what it was.
If no airport around, I'm sure it would have been a reported UFO visible in daylight, colored (maybe varying as it spun), and radar visible, but not explainable. Imagine a fighter been sent up, reporting: no windows, no visible known propulsion, perhaps rapid, chaotic motions, then shooting it down and living with the rep of being the only pilot to ever shoot down a swimming pool.
Always wondered if someone found a pool liner hanging from a TV antenna?

Thank you for our comment. I have no idea.

... did it happen to me? Last week I was up in Shiloh National Forrest, driving some of the lesser traveled roads and decided I would take a picture of thick stands of trees with light beams coming through, and that's all I noticed. A couple of days later, as I go through pictures of my trip, something caught my attention and the second picture is an enlarged portion. What I caught (almost center of the pic), I have not the slightest idea, though my wife agrees that could be curly red hair up the leg and/or body. No Photoshop, only enlarging and bring up light. Do youall have any idea?

Anything is possible Floyd, I’d keep my distance from there. Spooky!
A fortuitous combination of light and shadow - certainly looks like a large snake, or the tail of an enormous creature from sci-if.
I see a beam of light on the bark of a leaning tree, visible between other trees in the foreground

Thanks for the advice. I do not plan a return to that area this year.

Thank you for your comment.
In reference to lamiaceae comment above, Blowup is the quintsential 60's movie. The main character is a photographer (modelled on David Bailey, a quintisential 60's photographer) and explores the limits of reality and perception of reality. I also agree that the Yardbirds club scene is wonderful--where else can you see Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page playing together! We do get some proof of the murder when the Photographer returns and finds the corpse, though it doesn't seem to matter. There was a remake of the movie called "Blowout" starring John Travolta and focused on sound recording rather than photographic record. Professional photographers of time reported that applicants for photo assistant jobs had to be beated off with a stick! As to the photograph is question I have to confess that I don't see it....
