Some would benefit from a little more space in front of the head. Perhaps cropped too tight.

Nice and crisp. Just curious, hand-held? Tripod? or Monopod? I prefer hand-held when ever possible, don't like lugging T or M pod. But, getting older and hand-held is becoming difficult with a 250 or 400mm lens without external support. Thanx.

Hello Hank. Thanks for the kind words. I almost exclusively shoot with a tripod. If you invest in a good one, it not difficult to justify the use. I too, am closing in on another decade and lugging the equipment is not quite as easy. I substituted good shooting technique and subject acquisition, for chasing subjects hand held a long time ago. The results are usually far better in the long run...and you get to enjoy the wildlife as well. It is a win-win.

They are all great photographs in my opinion but the ones of the birds are extra special. And fascinating that you use a tripod exclusively. May I ask what make of tripod? Because I too often get snarled up with my own and I suspect that it is not the best I can use.
