Some photos of the Vasa, a Swedish warship which sank leaving Stockholm on its maiden voyage.
Those were some real crafstman, all the detail in the carvings must have taken forever. Thanks for sharing it.
I remember reading about this when discovered and raised.. Could you refresh us on the history of the recover of this beautiful ship ?

It was designed wrong. Too much height and not enough depth and bulk below the water line. A wind was blowing and it keeled over as far as I remember. Most of the ship was found intact and what wood needing replacement is of a lighter color. I am adding 3 more photos for you to see.
