Interesting, somber, important. Thanks for posting.
One of the most evocative spots on our very extensive xc trip with our young sons twenty years ago. The ranger’s talk brought the battle to life, and forever changed my perspective of what really happened there…and why.
Highly recommend!

original statement--
"I am constantly amazed at the history of America, the people who have come here, those Americans of all races and religions who have helped to build this country into the great country we are known for across the planet. Men and women of all beliefs have joined together to make America what it is today, the country on the planet that offers the most freedom and the most opportunity to do well for you and and your family."
Our former heritage of legal immigrants resulted in greatness.
What will be our legacy of the current tolerated illegal immigration?
I was out there back in June of 1986. The one thing I remember was the lay out of the land. Because when I move from one area to other area I understand how the whole battle was play out.
Artfully taken and stated.

Boy you don't known your America's History. During the Civil War, Union Army's people were waiting on the docks as men were coming off the ship to sign them up, no waiting to check them out, off to Army's post that day. That was also true when railroads after the Civil War looking for men to build the railroad line. Look at what The Union Pacific did to get Chinese workers. Don't forget how the railroads get people to settle in The America's West.

That would be a valid question IF this was in The Attic. Please, let's not get this pictorial placed in there. May LI suggest you pose that question on its own in The Attic. I am sure you will get answers.
