Here is the Scraggle tucked in to his favorite chair. Just playing with an old, obsolete Pro lens that is still pretty fantastic. D3 AF 80-200 1:2.8 ED, HH @ 2.8

Actually, the guy is a picky eater. The boys get fed around 6 a.m and 4 p.m. Never believe that dogs don't understand time, some are so sharp they must have a mental watch. Heaven forbid I sleep past 7 a.m.

I know Shep has a great sense of time. If I forget, he will stand in front of me or follow me until I remember.

The exposure looks spot on. Did you figure out what was causing the overexposure?

I see the new lens has replaced the 24-85 on the D3.

That is the usual thing here, if I am late for one of the walks, there will be three dogs in my office. It starts with standing and staring and escalates to nose punches.

Thanks. Haven't figured it out, but still have the EC set, that seems to work just fine. My usual practice with a new to me lens is to run it until I am completely comfortable with it. Not there yet with this one. I'll probably work an old 35-70 1:3.3-4.5 next, but for anything "serious", I'll certainly put the 24-85 back on. Got consistently good results with that.

That's too cute. I know dogs can tell time. We had a Cocker Spaniel once that would go sit by the door at 4PM because she knew Joe would be home at 4:05. She got lost once and someone picked her up. We found her 2 1/2 years later and her first day home, she went to sit by the door at 4PM. You can't imagine Joe's surprise when he walked in the door and there sat Buff.
