Rachelle has that "girl next door" look. I love it! Your image of her is excellent...

As I stated on a previous post, “ I’m a sucker for a girl in glasses”. It’s almost a fetish with me???
A lovely lady without tattoos 👍
Behind those glasses is a very pretty face and a few hair brush strokes would show her nice hair. Some post-editing would hide or remove the mark on her thigh. I think the photographer owes it to the model to make them look their best. Directions like "arch your back", "suck in your stomach", "open your lower hand a bit" and attention to detail like adjusting the necklace chain clasp, all help in combo. She is a beautiful subject and she has excellent potential to really show her beauty. Maybe a fill light too as the image is a bit flat ... just a low, power flash. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your comments.
I do those things and more to make models look better than they actually do. Not her though. She was a recovering addict of some kind (she never disclosed the nature of her illness), and she wanted to be seen just as she was. The marks on her thigh are from her cutting herself.
The necklace was addressed and I was told that it was just fine. Her hair was a product of her and I running around in the woods for 2 hours. Not a problem for me.
This photo shows a promising young woman with a fragile soul. She modeled because she had no other income. I was very generous to her in that regard. The dog in a previous photo of her posted here is her service animal.
I was very happy to shoot her and make a friend.
Just goes to show - there’s a million stories in the naked city.
Oh, and I don’t think it’s flat at all. It’s a natural light photo under the forest canopy. I was quite pleased with the light.
Once again, thanks for your comments. I have regarded them and hope I don’t sound dismissive. That’s not my intention. I only offer my explanation so you know how I was thinking. No accidental backgrounds. Maybe not correct or pleasing, but not accidental.
