#1 is a beautiful B&W adjusted photo!

Since I dislike whipped cream water, I vote for the first. However, I agree with the above comments about it.

These 2 photos were shot is color and converted to B&W in Affinity Photo. Two vastly different subjects: a view from Grand Tetons NP and cascading water in a local stream after recent flooding. I have to choose one or the other. Opinions, critiques most welcome.

I like both of these images, but the shadows are a bit deep.

For me, it would have to be the first one simply because I like natural water, the way God mage it, not milky the way man makes it, but that's just me...
Nr 1. I love fast water but not milk.
Been there several times!

#1, but as noted above too dark and noisy.Without a horision, it is difficult to say that it needs leveling. What appears to be out of level could be due to convergent fences.
Looking at them before download I prefer the first, and agree with Lonshadow about lightening it a bit. However after DD, I think the second would be a better choice, a lot of noise in itr.
Sorry response to wrong poster
Lighten some and level and #1 is your winner. Silky water shots are over rated.

I love #1 Mark but it has some noise in the sky. You can selectively smooth this with Topaz B&W Effects but any denoise program would work. You could also cut back on small details somewhat and see if that helps. Great shot!
