Congrats. This is indeed something to be proud of.
Scouting is a fantastic program that teaches our kids things they don't learn in school, and things they often don't learn at home. It's not just about camping and survival. Scouts learn leadership, perhaps above all else. In a properly functioning troop, meetings and outings are conducted by Scouts while adults guide and supervise. And Scouts learn to be good stewards of the community and environment. I could go on and on.
My eldest earned his Eagle rank at 15; my second is currently working on his Eagle project; and my youngest son is a Tenderfoot just beginning to climb the ranks.
Looks like a future leader to me.
Dear Mark,
Congratulations not only to your grandson Sam but also congratulations to you & all who had a hand in his becoming an Eagle Scout ! You know how many people it took, plus all the hard work.
My grandson sounds like a clone of your grandson Sam but a smaller version, Ewan just turned 15 a few weeks ago, lives in CT. & hopefully he is on his way to becoming an Eagle Scout also. He is only a freshman but he's on the right trail. A month ago Ewan came back from Philmont but the nice thing was that because of Covid it was cancelled last year & this year my son could attend also with 6 scouts & 4 adult leaders from their troop. As Sam can attest, that trip was unbelievable !

Mark,I don't think you were bragging but instead what I heard was a proud grandfather !!

Last night, along with two others, our Grandson was presented as an Eagle Scout to his troop. We so proud of him, not only for this rare accomplishment, but for the person he has become. He's kind, humorous, bright, helpful to all, he donates his time & energy to charities and he's an A student taking honors and AP courses as a junior in HS. Forgot to mention that he plays varsity lacrosse.

Thanks for viewing! I'm done bragging!

Congrats to Sam, and to those who have supported him along the way. What a great beginning to his life. What a solid foundation for his future.
Congratulations to your grandson, Mark. Earning the Eagle Scout Award will reward him many times over. My son felt it always added punch to his resume when people saw that he was an Eagle Scout.

Thank you and congratulations to your son!

Congratulations to Sam on this accomplishment. I still cherish my Eagle Scout Card signed by President Lyndon Johnson. I also give credit, as mentioned somewhere above, to the leaders of our troop and explorer post. Two very dedicated men who each gave to the program long after their own sons were gone. Buy, most credit goes to my mother. I think she wanted the Eagle Scout Pin more than I wanted the Eagle Scout Badge. Her perseverance lead me down a path that continues today. Wear the badge proudly, Sam.
You have every right to brag !
Congratulations to Sam
