Great series, but really horrible to look at.
These are some great photos. I am glad you shared them. With that said, its sad to see the dead elephant. I totally understand this is just one reality of wildlife and nature. Id have been delighted to have had this opportunity myself.
Excellent shots, gore and all. It's part of nature.
Great photos of Lionesses gorging to the max. Having done that it's sleepy time.
Hard to imagine these lionesses took down an elephant of that size. I guess if they could manage to hang onto the trunk and squeeze off it's air supply, that would suffocate it.
Nature red in tooth and claw and all that...even so, elephants are one of my favorite animals. Just a little warning about graphic nature for your viewers might be in order. Thanks!
Eat or be Eaten - 1st law of Nature!
I agree, this is nature. We saw a female lion take down a wild boar so her cubs could eat.
12-15 feet in the open or in a vehicle? I’ve had cows that it was not safe to get that close to, if they had a new baby. They have ruined the fenders on many a pick-up. One came thru the windshield of my Cowboy’s Kubota RX1100 UTV. Wild carnivores can be quite protective of their “kills”.
