My take on Palouse falls after visiting last week. There are very few options other than from the designated overlook. However, its still a magnificent view and the waterfalls are beautiful...What a state waterfall?

History; Washington has a state bird, a state flower, a state tree, a state fossil and state song, and a host of other official state items. Why not a state waterfall?

What could have been a simple school project has evolved into a large, and impressive, undertaking for students at Washtucna Schools during the past few months in 2014. The students have officially submitted House Bill 2119, a bill to officially designate Palouse Falls as the state waterfall.

After months of research and study, five students stood in front of state legislators and testified at a hearing for the bill. The students were provided with two minutes to discuss why Palouse Falls should become the official state waterfall....Long story short, After six months of hard work and determination, third through sixth grade students in the Washtucna School District, pushed through a bill that made Palouse Falls the state waterfall.

If you're in the area, south central Washington, its definitely worth the trip into the boondocks to see this small state park and waterfall. Sorry but it was in bright sunshine and in the middle of the day....Cheers and thank you for the recommendation Mike...
