We just got back from Smokey Mountains National Park. I had booked a campsite for our 5th wheel in Maggie Valley, NC six months ago but, as luck would have it, it was cloudy and rainy every day. The weather system was the remnants of a hurricane that hit the gulf coast a week before. Between showers we ventured out to take in the sights and found some interesting water falls and overlooks from the lower elevations. What’s that saying? When given lemons….
That first waterfall's a beaut, idyllic if I do say so!
Wonderfull photos especially #3. Thanks for sharing your photos.
When life gives you lemons--make whiskey sours.
Beautiful photos. You did well with what you have.

Great series. All are good, but I love the first water fall.
I think the cloudy, rainy weather system contributed to the quality of your shots. The clouds in the shots of the mountain range add greatly to the feeling in the photo, particularly the first and last in the series. And rain means nice, full waterfalls. In your case, I think the lemons of clouds and rain were photographic blessings.
Your pictures show case why they are called the Blue Ridge Mountains. Beautiful shots all. I'm lucky to live just an hour from your shots. Thank-you.
