#1. More of a cloudscape or silhouette than a sunset
#1. More of a cloudscape or silhouette than a sun...

#2. It went that way.
#2. It went that way....

Thanks all for you comments, Brett I am printing this image as I type [who said men can't multi-task ?] and to fit the A4 paper I cropped just as you suggested. :-)

Sarge it will be [I hope] the Screen calibration had 'expired.' The initial print had totally blocked up ground.

Moral ? keep the calibration up to date and save on paper, ink, time spent on re-working the image.

At times like this I wish I had taken up knitting.

After re-calibrating my monitor, and re-working the original Raw file I got to this.

I am always amazed at the amount of information that is lurking, waiting to be discovered in what appear to be blocked up shadows.

I like all of them. Number three is really pretty. If I want to see the sun set I have to drive to higher ground, but I love the mountains also.
