Glad it's working for you. Looks susceptible to them jumping from the snag or onto the stick. Hard to tell in a photo.

I have one that lives near me that climbs the side of my house! Not sure yours would stop this guy. Nice, inexpensive solution though.

I wish you had shot from a different angle as the bkg. is confusing the intricacies of your handiwork.

Although it cost the great sum of one dollar for the plastic bucket from the store of the same name, it has defeated every critter in the three years that they have attempted to get to the bird seed. The feeder is about six feet off the ground. Only tool needed is a hole saw for the center of the bucket bottom. I have not patented it, so its my gift to all.

that a grand idea!

Thanks. Much better. Simple. Why didn't I think of that?

You are not a bird, so you wouldn't know that it's a waiting perch that also serves as a place to pose for photographs.

I've tried a good number of squirrel resistant bird-feeders but all failed until the one I bought two years ago. That one works...even though with each year, the young ones give it a try. But, so far, they always are thwarted.

I'd take that bet any time you want to put your money on it. Hell, I'd even give you good odds.

Oh, Yeah!! Heheh...but I didn't have to put it together myself. If had to do that, it wouldn't have been done!

I have a slinky on my pole. It's a blast to watch the new squirrels try. They learn fast and leave. Lol
