Surprise, surprise, surprise, look who made a post.
I expected at least one shot of some kind of train or something but a Gremy?

But it is a good shot, terrible car, but an excellent shot. Nice to hear from you

Ha, ha! Thanks, tramsey! Yeah, I have been meaning to make a whole bunch of stupid posts, but I have been working so much that I only have 6 1/2 hours of me time on Sundays only. You got lucky tonight! I am on call and nothing is happening at the moment. Lol.

Good shot of a Terrible car. I know from personal experience!!!!
Worst car I ever owned! The next worse one I owned was a 1963 Rambler classic!

When I was in my early 20’s I needed a new car and had narrowed my choices to a Gremlin and a Maverick. I decided on the Gremlin because it was $250 cheaper. When my dad found out, he gave me the $250 and said to forget the Gremlin--another piece of good advice he gave me. A colleague of mine bought the same Gremlin, and it turned out to be a real dog for him.

Gremlin was, shall we say, a less than ideal car. The Rambler, if I remember right, had seats that folded down flat, making it ideal to take a date to the drive in movies

When I was younger, I noticed that my neighbor loved AMC. He had a Gremlin and a Pacer. Yuck!

My parents had a 1976 Gremlin, and it was a great car, except for rust, but EVERY car back then rusted badly.

Texaco, a frugal oil company, bought Ramblers for its field geologists to save motel expense!

I owned a Gremlin when I was stationed in the Philippines in the Navy in the mid 70's. I won't say it was the nicest car I ever owned but it got the job done! Went every where within reason on the main island of Luzon. Baguio City, Taal Volcano, Manila, all the way to Mariveles on the southern tip of the Bataan Peninsula. Back and forth on weekends to a little fishing village called Cabcaban, where I built a small house. I had a banca boat there that I used as a dive boat during the weekends and a local fisherman used during the week to fish from. Went from Subic Bay Naval Base to Angeles Air Force Base several times.
Never was stranded. Had a heck of a time getting the windshield wipers to work consistently. They worked on engine vacuum. Finally converted them to electric with a toggle switch on the dash. Much better! It hauled a heck of a lot of SCUBA gear too.

I got third place in my gremlin at the local county demolition derby! Tougher than they look!
