They're too busy importing votes and Covid carriers to be bothered with minuscule problems like that.

For what it's worth, I've been getting emails for weeks telling me that my Norton Antivirus was expiring, or has expired. See the attached screenshot. Problem is, I don't use NAV. So, I carefully delete such messages, which, interestingly, Gmail has put in the spam forlder. But, what if I had been a NAV user and clicked on the link the email provided? I guess the lesson here is, if you get an email that your antivirus has or will expire, investigate by opening the antivirus itself and checking if there's a way to see your status. But whatever you do, don't open any emails on the topic.

I forgot to mention that some of the messages from "Norton" contained misspellings.

Hovering your pointer over the from address in the email list will reveal the senders address. If it looks suspicious, delete it. In Outlook Express, if you mark a message with the check box, there is an option to notify OE that the email as junk, phishing or block. I have marked numerous emails as phishing. It seems to stop them.

Sorry - can't help you with this one.

I have recently removed Norton from my computer after years of use,
fighting performance issues such as unnecessary scans taking a lot of time and resources and slowing everything else to a crawl, wasting a lot of time with not quite competent technicians, trying to find my way among incomplete or *outright misleading* Norton "instructions", not being able to manage the *backups*, and more.
My conclusion - after a long chain of successes, Norton decided to milk its product for every last penny they can, while deliberately creating impression that they grow and improve their service.
I am using now another product and only wish I had deleted Norton years ago.

What are you using now?

I have had Norton for many years, but am totally disgusted with their sneaky ways of trying to sell you additional capability. And, want to switch to something else.

I just ignore them.
