Does anyone use a camera vest and if so, what do you recommend
I've got a big show at the City Of Adelaide Clipper Ship in November and it would be very handy if I could carry two cameras, one with a short lens (on the vest) and one with a long lens.
This is the sort of thing I'm after. I'd like some info on other types if anyone uses one..I've done a search but I want opinions from actual users if possible.
Cheers,
Ron.

You will really like this one, Ron. I use it when hiking in the mountains so I can can one lens for wildflower shots and another for landscapes. It avoid the need to switch lenses. Take some time to adjust it and you will not notice the camera in the Skout.

Thanks for that Mike...yes, after looking at some others, this really appealed to me. The event I'm doing is for the City Of Adelaide Clipper Ship (I'm doing the photography of the restoration) and on this day there will be at least 750-800 visitors on site. A lot of them are descendants of the original people who came out from England and Ireland on the ship. So I'll need two cameras and lenses, one for the general shots and one for the portraits of these descendants. It's going to be pretty full on so there wont be time to be continually changing lenses. The other consideration is, with my spinal injuries I cannot tolerate anything hanging around my neck..
I have a Cotton Carrier. I like it but don't use it much. I also have a homemade version of a fishing vest with pockets for everything. Love using it on day trips.
I purchased two fishing type vests from Amazon, one my proper size and another double x size to wear over a light jacket. I’ve found the normal size when worn in warm weather to be extremely warm even over a light Cotten shirt so I no longer use it in the summer months.
If you are going to be carrying heavier lenses...I'd stay away from the 'one strap' carriers...it's still placing all of the weight on one shoulder.
Something like the Cotton Carrier CCS G3 would really help your back and shoulders for a long days outing.

I bought the same model earlier this year and have been very happy with it, especially for carrying the camera around on all-day treks in complete comfort.
I like the Cotton Vest except for one thing. That lug that has to be screwed into the tripod socket is a problem because it has to be removed in order to use a tripod. I wish there was a holster that cradles the camera body and keeps the tripod socket free for use. If I know I won't be using a tripod the Cotton Vest is comfortable and very well designed.
I bought an inexpensive vest for our Grand Canyon trip, and still use it for local hiking.
Yes…the shorter lens on the vest is the best approach.
I’ve added ‘stubby’ screwdrivers to my kit to remove that ‘button’ for tripod use.
Last, I attached a Camelbak hydration bag to the back (about $10 in parts from the key and chain sections of your hardware store). The water helps balance things out, plus…water.
I just noticed that Cotton Vest makes an adapter that has the acra slots as well as a place to onstall the button. It looks a little awkward but will work.
