Some time ago, I posted a comment about the Nikon D500, and I was not too positive about the camera. Since then, I have been shooting with the D500-, I have learned some ins and outs about it, and my impression has changed, it is an awesome camera. I have been a D600 man, but I rarely shoot with it now. Here are some shots I got recently with it, using the nikkor 300mm F4 PF VR lens, all shots are hand held. I love the D500!

Giving credit where credit is due. First to the photographer, without you nothing would matter. Second to the lens, poor lens poor quality shot. Finally to the camera new or old, inexpensive or expensive doesn't matter if either of the first two fail.

Superb captures with your D500. I have the D7500. Almost wish I would have went for the D500 but there was budget constraints at the time.

I can't think of any reason you wouldn't love the D500. I love mine! I have two D850s too and they are great cameras. But the D500 is ergonomically more comfortable in my hand, the shutter is quieter and what you do hear sounds nicer. It has a faster FPS and deeper buffer. I could go on. But it's not full frame if that matters too you.
