Excellent set, Chief! I saw a large group fly into Pinckney Island NWR one morning, but otherwise I have never seen them before.

Great pictures.

A couple years ago, I photographed a Black Bellied Whistling Duck quite a long distance away. I had never seen one before.

When I reported it, apparently it was very rare north of Atlanta. ebird gave me a full 3rd degree questioning about the time/day/location. (My wife took pictures of it, too!)

Yep they are definitely a southern duck. Common in Mexico apparently. First time I saw any was in San Antonio several years ago. I'm glad you liked them.

Thanks Mike. Never heard of that NWR. Is it in Utah?

Thank you Ken. Yeah I always thought they were pretty laid back critters, but these guys were all hyped up about something!

Thank you. I've never seen that particular type of duck before. Great shots.
