Rix...we finally agree on something. A couple of days ago I read about two parents who both died, leaving behind three young children. These are horror stories that are totally unnecessary.
Old stories about the Black-Death described houses with all dead. So many, even today, live in a magical imaginary world in which the plague is not going to get them. In the Poe 1845 story Masque of Red Death, the grim reaper comes to the prince's dance.
Summary of the Prince's tragic feeling of invincibility:

I've used up half a box of tissues.
They were probably following the example set by VP Harris when she said in a nationally televised debate, "If president Trump tells me to take the vaccine (which he did), I'm not gonna take it."
How many more lives are going to be on her hands?

What a liar you are, she said if Dr. Fauci told her to take the vaccine she would
but if trump said to take the vaccine she would refuse.
Can't blame anyone for not listening to trump.
https://www.cbsnews.com/video/2020-vp-debate-kamala-harris-on-coronavirus-vaccine/At least I supply a link. Liars won't do that.
Take the vaccine if Fauci says it's okay.
Don't take the vaccine if Trump says it's okay.
Think about the insanity of that: both of these men are talking about the exact same vaccine.
THINK ABOUT IT: The vice president of the United States of America based a life sustaining decision for herself and millions of others ,not on science or the prestige of the actual product, but rather her "personal feelings" about a certain person.
Neither person, not Trump nor Fauci, had ANYTHING to do with the actual development or delivery of the vaccine so her decision (that affected millions of others) was based solely on her hatred of a single person.
Even more astonishing is that, to the best of my knowledge, I'm the first one here on UHH to address the absurdity of Harris's childish behavior.

Florida covid rates are dropping as they are rising in other areas of the country. Florida and Texas were primary entry points for the Delta variant, the rest of the country will soon catch up. Florida death rates from covid remain much lower than most of the deeply blue New England states as well as other states.

If you use quote marks, you should at least use the actual quote...

Hatred of trump is a virtue.

Not nearly as virtuous as coming to realization that Biden is a disgusting POS.

There is no professional equivalency between Trump and Dr Fauci. Stop pretending there is.
Donald Jessica Trump also recommended cleaning products as a covid cure. And waiting it out until Easter 2020.
The mug could still be POTUS if he wasn't so damned loopy and just kept his mouth shut. Think about it. Scary eh?

Neither one of these men had anything to do with the development of the vaccine. All INTELLEGENT decisions had to made on the merit of the vaccine not the sponsorship of the product. To do otherwise is tantamount to refusing the polio vaccine because Jonas Salk was bald or choosing a neurosurgeon because you like the color of his eyes.
Kamala Harris indulged her petty hatreds with her words. Can you imagine the difference it might have made if Harris or Biden had said: "I will not let my personal feelings toward Trump or Fauchi or anyone else color my decision about the vaccine, it's too important. I hope you do the same." It would have immediatly de-politized the issue and we could have moved forward using ONLY data and science and the advice of physicians.
THINK ABOUT MR. TEXCASTER, you are still more interested in blame and shame and bombastic words than you are in finding a way to convince more people to trust in the vaccine. How's that strategy working for you!

You should try the entire Harris quote, in context, instead of just the 'juicy-Fox-MAGA-bits'
Are you saying Dr Fauci recommended cleaning products and worse as a covid cure? Trump did, repeatedly.
I convince by example. I'm double vaxed and masked.

I too am "double vaxed" but had I thought that Trump or Fauchi stirred so much as a molecule into the vaccine that was going into my arm I wouldn't have taken it. I trusted completely in the scientists that really understand such matters - not those that market it!
Meanwhile, you have blamed and criticised me for everything from not using a full quote to the people I vote for. That strategy will not convince one single person to get the vaccine . The real insanity is this an issue on which we agree - vaccinations save lives.
You said you convince by example. Image this scenario: two people (both vaccinated, both wearing masks) standing on the street trying to convince a crowd of people of the virtues of their product. The first person attempts to sell his product by yelling, blaming, tossing out insults, name calling and making threats of death. The second person (who is selling the same product) patiently listens to the fears of his audience, counters with only certified data and cracks a few jokes. Which technique do you think will work the best?
